A NEW SOLUTION FOR SKIN COMPLAINT
SUFFERERS,

 One in three babies will suffer from eczema by the
age of three and a half, whilst at school age, 25% of
all children in the UK suffer from eczema – a figure
that has almost doubled since the 1970’s and is still
rising at an alarming rate.
Taking a broader view – some 80% of teenagers will
suffer some form of Acne, 2-3 percent of the population
in Western Europe suffers from Psoriasis and one in

Two parents who had such misgivings about using
steroid creams on their baby daughter were Jane and
Nigel Stansfield, from Yorkshire. Their daughter Sophie
was only nine months old when she developed eczema. The
patches of dry, flaky skin becoming red and sore, as she
couldn’t resist scratching day and night – a story that
is familiar to many parents. Hydrocortisone and aqueous
creams were prescribed for Sophie – a daily ritual that
did little to clear her eczema problem but gave her
parents concern, particularly with regard to the
long-term use of hydrocortisone on a baby.

Sophie is now three years old, uses

Jane Stansfield takes up their story: “We heard about
the success of Original Health Soap in other cases
through a friend of a friend and decided to try it on
Sophie. After all, it contained nothing that could harm
her condition so we had nothing to lose. We stopped
using the prescribed creams and used the soap at
bathtime every day. After about a week Sophie’s eczema
did get a little worse for a few days but then it
improved day by day. After just over two weeks her skin
was completely clear.”
Jane and Nigel have continued to use the soap on
Sophie ever since. On the rare occasion that a tiny
flare-up has occurred they simply apply some soap lather
and leave it dry on her skin as she goes to bed. By the
morning it’s all cleared up.
Sophie’s younger sister Katie has been using the soap
since the day she was born and her parents report that
she hasn’t even had so much as a spot or single episode
of nappy rash!
Jane and Nigel were so impressed with the results of
Original Health Soap on their own children that they
started a company to take the product out to sufferers
everywhere. Since setting up their website

in from around the world. Trials have been run in China,
Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia resulting in huge
demand and distributors are now being appointed in these
countries.
 The couple have also expanded the range of products
available with the introduction of a hypoallergenic
laundry powder – ideal for those with sensitive skin as
well as for sufferers of complaints such as eczema,
dermatitis and psoriasis. Following up on this they are
currently launching a skin moisturiser and working on
formulations for shower gel, hair shampoo and
conditioner.
“Our new products are being led entirely by customer
demand,” says Nigel Stansfield. “When people see how
effective the soap is, they are bombarding us with
suggestions for new products that they want formulating
for sufferers of skin conditions or those with
particularly sensitive skin.
Since starting work on our new products we have
discovered that there are a lot of undesirable
ingredients in the majority of today’s skin care
products. It is proving far from easy to find and
combine effective natural or organic alternatives that
will do the job and be acceptable to our customers. Our
new products have a real reputation to live up to with
the soap being such a success, so we will be taking our
time to make certain we get it right. We hope to have
our skin moisturiser ready for launching by the end of
spring this year with the others following close
behind.”
